Minami Nursery School is designed by Toki Design Co., Ltd., which is established by our member Hiroyuki Kikuchi. This project won the “13th Kids Design Award” this year and it's their continuous 8th year win this award. Also , their another project Sakura So Nursery School Motogo won the “13th Kids Design Award” too.
A project that was rebuilt in the event of an old age. For about seven months, children saw the sight of the building being completed, and worked on creating a space for children to participate, filled with memories, such as painting interior materials through workshops by craftsmen.
A “kioki no michi” between the two roads is connected to connect the village road and the city road. Encourage natural interaction among children by interspersing small places between these deep shared spaces. During the meal time, they actively serve themselves, play hide-and-seek at a friend's house, and draw on a blackboard. This space flowing in a pleasant breeze is a place to nurture children's sensibility and friendship.
