Rudolph Schelling Webermann (R S W) is a multidisciplinary design and innovation agency based in Hanover, Germany. Founded in 2005, they quickly became known for designing furniture, lighting, and home accessories characterized by enigmatic, charming ideas and independent and innovative concepts. In addition, the narrative quality of their design made them one of the pioneers of storytelling in German product design.
Designs by R S W have received international media recognition, won more than 40 prestigious design awards, such as the iF and Red Dot, and have become bestsellers. Works by R S W are also represented in the collections of various museums. Furthermore, they have been shown at design festivals and exhibitions, such as the German Pavilion at EXPO in Shanghai.
With the experience of over 150 product launches behind them and "design thinking" as their native language, R S W has increasingly begun to work in an interdisciplinary manner. As a result, they have expanded their services to include such diverse areas as product development, interior design, creative direction, innovation consulting, and start-up consulting. They find the diversity of the fields of activity inspiring because projects cross-fertilize each other, and thus a qualitative added value can arise. No matter which area the team works, they focus on solid concepts, sustainability, and circular economy.
Furthermore, the founding team members of R S W have been part of the iF Jury panel several times and are teaching design and social entrepreneurship.

Consultation center of the future
Redesign of the Sparkasse Hannover as an enrichment for the quarter.
The Sparkasse invited R S W to a pitch to develop a new interior concept for the Sparkasse Hannover. In the competition, our concept could prevail. Currently, the new design is being rolled out in several branches in the Hanover region.
Because online banking services increasingly tend to make branches redundant, the concept tackles the task of revitalizing and finding a new purpose for savings banks' top located facilities.
The spatial concept with lounge, coffee bar, charging stations for e-bikes, and individually furnished consultation rooms convinced the jury of the iF Design Award and the German Design Award. -
Ding Table
The idea for this simple coffe table for Normann Copenhagen was born by playing with ancient three-dimensional wooden brain teaser puzzles. The puzzle's basic principle: three pieces of wood join together and lock themselves in a seemingly inseparable knot. This led to a table that is assembled without the help of screws and tools. The table consists quite simply of three legs made from oak. When put together they constitute a sculptural knot that works as the base for an exclusive glass tabletop. The legs are rounded off with chamfered edges, making the table stand sturdily on the floor and the round sheet of glass sit solidly on the base.

Mood: Dimmable pendant light with color temperature change
The Mood LED pendant light for yunic inspires with an extremely slim design, where the dimmer is part of the aesthetic construction. Namely, the golden knob is located on the elegant, cylindrical shade and can be rotated to change two types of light settings: Light brightness and color temperature. This does not require turning the knob in two different directions but simply turning it further to reach the next brightness or temperature level. Changing between brightness and color temperature is done by pressing the knob.

The Monkey
The unique feature of The Monkey radio / speaker is the ingenious snap-on antenna with its spring metal core. It offers two iconic positions, enabling The Monkey to be used in two different ways. With the antenna in straight position it is a static object. And it playfully becomes your mobile companion with the antenna clinging around handles, tubes and any other branches of the urban jungle.
Never mind if the radio programme sucks — just switch to the blue tooth mode and enjoy your favourite music. -
Beater
We have created a whisk for Normann Copenhagen that is sculpturesque, space-saving and functional all at the same time. Beater can be folded together, saving space in the kitchen drawer or on the wall.
Beater is inspired by a pack of straws and is gathered in the middle using a ring that functions as both an opening and closing mechanism and a hanging fixture. An everyday product with a creative and space-saving design. Beater comes in several stunning colours. -
Blow: a tribute to the millennium-old art of glass blowing
The fascination for the speed and precision with which glassmakers in Venice create their works of art was the Blow lamp's inspiration. Thus, the glass body and rods appear as if they had been hung up fresh from the glass factory, still in a glowing state. Through an ingenious tensioning of three rods among themselves, the lamp floats almost weightlessly in space. The space-consuming light sculpture, equipped with LED technology, can be individually adapted to any room situation by merely moving the rods one below the other — an absolute highlight for large living and object rooms.
The decorative luminaire for Pulpo is the result of a collaboration between the designer Christian Stapelbroek and the design office Rudolph Schelling Webermann from Hanover. -
