Sukwoo Lee has started his career as a product designer at Samsung Electronics in Seoul and went to the U.S. to work as an industrial designer at the industrial design company of Fuseproject and Teague. From 2008 to 2011, he was the global creative lead and principal industrial designer at Motorola. In 2011, he set up his own industrial design office called SWNA in Seoul and carried out design projects with various clients, such as Google-Nest, BMW,Hyundai Motors, Samsung Electronics, LG, Disney and IOC Korea. In 2021, he served as a judge in the product design section at the Braun & iF Design Awards.

Flock Bulb for 3M
This is a light fixture designed for 3M’s Optic Fiber Light String. We developed a flock bulb which, because of its characteristics as an optical fiber (primarily used in automobiles or as light fixtures during construction), enables ordinary customers to cut the product easily.

Disaster Kit Life Clock
The Life Clock was designed in a way to make it stand out from existing disaster-related products and to ensure it can blend in with the lives of its users much more easily. Disaster supplies, which invariably feel heavy, are necessary items in life.
So, we wanted to use a 'clock' as a metaphor, which is an everyday item that lives and breathes with the people that uses them rather than a weighty object. -
The Aesthetics of Process for SWNA Solo Exhibition
Industrial design is a battle of process and a relentless pursuit of possibilities. Everyday products are the outcomes refined through numerous trials and errors, and only one of many proposals created during the design process. In this exhibition, the industrial design studio SWNA exhibits by-products of their design projects since 2010, including sketches, prototypes, miniatures and drawings, aiming to view industrial design as a process rather than an outcome.

PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Medal
It was a design project of medals for the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics. A medal is a symbolic object, and since the meaning of the symbol can vary depending on a person, we had to think of value understandable and accepted by the entire world. We wanted to tell the global sentiment such as thevalue of the process, effort and patience in preparation for the Olympics, and local stories such as Korea, Pyeongchang, and Korean culture.

Circle Peacock and Tail Bird Tableware for Nongshim
Circle Peacock and Tail Bird are kitchenware specialized for cooking Doongji Naengmyeon, a Nongshim's instant noodles. In order to highlight the brand image of Doongji Naengmyeon, we used a bird as a design motif.

Prugio Apartment Design & Master Planning
It was the total design and mater planning for all elements for Prugio such as exterior, interior, facilities, environment, landscaping, stores, community facilities, signs, public furniture and electrical installations. Under the design concept "Black is the new Green," the objects were designed with the elements including “contrast, circle, overlapping, material and color” from the nature. We also had the architect consultant with Yung A Kim Architect.

Station Geometry for Culture Station Seoul 284
Station Geometry consists of newly interpreted objects with the redefinition of various architectural elements found in the old Seoul Station while maintaining their original forms and features.

The Curtained Wall for Gwangju Design Center
Inspired by wind blowing curtains, the installation is made of 3D printers. Made for Gwangju Design Center in Korea. Pleat the bottom so that the concrete can stand on its own, as if a windy curtain was intended. The significance of the material and the possibility of concrete printing were tested.
