Mark Turner is a highly experienced Creative Director skilled in Packaging, Branding, Typography, POS and Web Design, with a proven track record of working in the retail and private sectors of the Graphic Design industry. He is a traditionally trained designer with over 35 years of experience and is known for his innovative and forward thinking designs. Mark is ranked in the top 100 packaging designers in the world.
Mark has won over 20 International Design Awards for Packaging and Branding. These include a Pentaward, 4 A’Design Awards, 2 Muse Design Awards, a Muse Creative Award, 3 German Design Awards, a German Branding Award as well as 2 AI Global Awards for Packaging Design Agency of the Year, and 2 Awards for Innovation in Packaging Design. Mark has also served as a Design Award Jury member for 5 Design Awards.
He is also a member of the International Association of Designers (IAD) and a Creative Partner of the World Design Consortium.
Mark has exhibited in the Museum of Design (MOOD) in Como, Italy over 3 consecutive years and has permanent design work in a Design Museum in China.

BALMORAL CASTLE WHISKY
After creating the packaging for the Royal Windsor Farm Shop brand, Mark was approached by Balmoral Castle, the Scottish residency for Her Majesty the Queen, to look at designing the packaging for their 15 year old ‘Scottish Whisky’ which they were about to launch.
The brief was to design packaging which would have the look and feel of an established brand and would appeal to customers looking for whisky with an impeccable heritage.
The solution…to create a luxury box and label embossed with the symbols of the brand’s Royal heritage and by creating a subtle link to the Royal Windsor Farm Shop brand by using sympathetic colours and imagery.
The whisky is sold exclusively in the Royal gift shops throughout the Royal Estates of the UK. -
NYBCo.
Maple Leaf Bakery came to Mark and his team, to rebrand their iconic American style, New York Bagel Co. brand. The brief was to update the iconic ‘Liberty’ logo and redesign their extensive range of bagel packaging.
The solution…to create American themed packaging using primary and secondary colours which created a strong sense of the New York Bagel Co. brand and made it easy to identify the flavours of the range.
As an extension to the range, Mark was also asked to design the ‘24/7’ snack range for ‘people on the go!’ -
WALT DISNEY STUDIOS
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment asked Kre8ive Partners to design an FSDU unit for displaying their Ratatouille DVD during launch week. Disney wanted a stand that would be unique and very different to the norm. They wanted to encompass the heart of the film, and show the friendship of Remy (the cooking rat genius) and Linguini (his bumbling side kick), and for it to be something special from the movie.
The solution…Kre8ive Partners designed several innovative design concepts, and the one chosen was a stand in the shape of the book ‘Anyone Can Cook’, which was pivotal to the plot of the movie.
It was rolled out in select retail stores to add a focal point for week-one sales. -
SOUNDREVEL
The brief from SoundRevel was to create a bold, yet iconic identity with a feeling of movement, for their global music festival promotion company and online streaming app.
The solution…to create a dynamic identity which used the iconic grooves of the record as its core, which evolved into sound waves radiating out from its centre, and in turn, the waves then evolved again to create human faces.
The identity was designed to be flexible and adaptable for the vast range of conventional and digital medias required, including stage signage, promotional items and online marketing. -
SPICE CHAKRA
The brief was to create a stunning range of packaging for the Spice Chakra range of authentic Indian recipe packs that would have stand-out shelf appeal.
The solution…to design packs that were true to the authentic heritage of the recipes, and which showcased the colours and spices of India.
By using an intense colour pallet which was colour-coded to represent the region the recipes came from, and by presenting the ingredients in clear bags within a foldout card outer, the packs were designed to entice the customer to pick them off the shelf and take them home to try them out. -
VONZIÜ ELITE
The brief was to create a stunning range of dog food packaging which would not only have a strong shelf presence among the vast variety of pet food brands, but would have a hypnotic indulgent appeal.
The solution…to create a stunningly simplistic, clean, yet sophisticated design with the ancestral wolf as it’s core symbol for the new range. The wolf, emerging out from the dark shadows with iridescent, penetrating eyes is the focus of the branding.
The eyes on each pack in the range were colour-coded to differentiate the variety. -
ROYAL WINDSOR
The design team, led by Mark Turner, were asked to design the Royal Windsor Farm Shop branding to be used in their new shop at Windsor Castle.
The brief was to design a brand and range of packaging for a wide variety of products including chutneys, ice creams, biscuits, cakes, specialist drinks, oils, wines and vinegars.
The solution…to create a brand that stayed true to Windsor’s Royal heritage by including the heraldry symbolism of the belt and the Royal Crown and colours which were specially chosen to represent the Royal residences and even included sourcing a special spot colour to match a door at Windsor Castle.
The brand was rolled out over 200 products for the launch. The team also designed the POS, signage and all branded marketing materials. -
