Piero Quintiliani is an industrial designer. He began his training in the workshops of goldsmiths and metals where he learned the techniques of embossing and sculpting, lost wax casting, filigree, engraving and silicone moulds.
During 2000 to 2002, Piero initiated a number of important collaborations which allowed him to create products of brands such as Addex design, Bomtempi, Dupont, Oregon Scientific, Tim, Telecom Italia. Among these, Kamilla – digital alarm clock for children produced by Oregon Scientific – he came top of the Adi Design Index 2002 selection and attended the prestigious Adi Golden Compass awards. Mandibola – motorcycle helmets – is mentioned in the Adi Design Index 2004 in the young designers category.
Upon graduation, a new era of experience commences, working on his projects using equipment for 3D scanning, 3D modelling software, CNC machines and devices for rapid prototyping. He acquires technical expertise in project development, taking care personally of the engineering and product industrialisation.
Piero is currently working with various companies that operate in different market sectors collaborating with them for all aspects concerning the creation and development of new products and their communication.
Parallel to activities as designer and art director, Quintiliani teaches materials technology and design at the “Istituto Italiano Design” in Perugia and design at the “Prima Facoltà di Architettura “Ludovico Quaroni” University of Rome.

Portable device for medical and aesthetics treatments
A restyling project for aesthetic medicine. We preserved the original cubic volume but with a soft and eye-catching design. This aspect is underlined by the combination of materials like the chromed bands that enhances the object. The product is very compact when closed so that it can be transported easily by trolley or handbag. It also has an ad hoc designed cart.
Once opened, the user has all the equipment at hand: the touch screen integrated in the hinged lid, the rechargeable handpieces with pogo pin and additional materials stored in the drawer. The appliance can be powered either by batteries or via an electrical outlet. -
Entertech Wearable Meditation Headset
The Entertech Wearable Meditation Headset is a wearable headband that allows the user to calm down effortlessly thanks to the biofeedback soundscape created by his real-time brainwaves and heart-rate, thus easily regulate the meditation. The product has 3 color variations: Tech Style, Cool Grey and Total Black.
The elegant ultraslim design makes it unperceptible and incredibly light, while the rubber band on the back keeps it on perfect position. We made ergonomics studies to include a wide range of users: the extendible arch has an inner soft material to fit better to head forms, while the sticks are slightly flexible to adapt different ears. -
A Wi-Fi medical device awarded by the K Design Award.
KEEP is a medical device designed to make diagnosis and treatment work simpler and more flexible. It’s a technological working surface organized to provide a more ample and comfortable maneuvering area for doctors and their daily activities.
The working surface is a top made of solid surface, a material that amply identifies the machine’s durable structure. -

The set is made by the following knives: bread, chef, utility, filleting and paring. -
Portable welding machine awarded by the A Design Award
Tp 2000 is a new portable welding machine with an high level of portability and comfort thanks to the ergonomic handle and the special electrical cable winding system allows the operator to carry the product efficiently and safely.The product has a double ventilation system, front and lateral, which increases performance thanks to the high circulation of the air internally. It comes with a belt that is well integrated into the product’s design.

Runimalz: a revolutionary hybrid toy awarded by the EPDA.
Runimalz is a hybrid toy made up of an APP / video game, a control board, three characters (wolf, gorilla and chameleon) and a totem / spinning top. Thanks to RFID technology, the three characters come to life on the control board that connects, using Wi-Fi, to smartphones and tablets via the APP. The game takes place by moving the creatures along the three tracks of the special board. The totems / spinning tops, instead, give special powers to the characters during the game. Runimalz is a project made in collaboration with Xplored, a game company that designed and developed the video game. Our study focused on the design of the board and the optimization and industrialization of the entire product.

Una is a modern and versatile office chair that reflects the changing of the job environments in recent years.
Latest offices are more dynamic, comfortable and informal: Una’s hybrid design takes inspiration from these principles, fitting perfectly the new trends.
The main injection molded plastic structure is a modern and low-cost solution to make the product accessible.
A limited number of complementary parts allows Una to be easily and quickly configured in the three main office chair variants: visitor, task and executive.
Una has been designed to be flexible and adaptable through simple performing solutions. -
A smartwatch designed for user’s care and well-being
The project belongs to the wearable technology design market. It is a care smartwatch used to monitor and control the user’s well-being thanks to the analysis of different factors such as heart beat, skin temperature, proximity and tumble. The product is intended for a wide target, as it is used in areas
such as medical, education, security, insurance, tourism, etc.
To this aim it has a versatile design and different colours to fit well in any situation. The bracelet is made of soft material, and three status LEDs indicate the device work, controllable using a dedicated app.
