Ros, who has recently been awarded a Fellowship with the Design Institute of Australia, is an accredited interior designer, experienced speaker and educator. She believes it is important as a designer to not only be passionate about design but to understand business & to seek to give back to the world. Dynamic & passionate about her work Ros see it as her responsibility to mindfully design interiors which are distinctive, sustainably responsible and will positively impact the lives of those she creates them for. This ethos is embodied into the fabric of The Interior Space's brand design philosophy and is paramount as the team creates beautiful design solutions.
Ros's personal career encompasses interior design and executive management within the design & tourism sectors. She believes this experience provides resort and hotel clients with the unique added advantage of having a design team that understands first-hand what it takes to make their property successful from a design, guest and operational perspective. The Interior Space design group has a two tier offering:
Interior Design & Interior Architecture – The Interior Space has a lot of experience designing for both large scale & boutique properties. The design & documentation includes mood & image presentation boards, white model renders, photo realistic renders & 360° Virtual reality panoramas, sampling boards and full design documentation packages with specifications and plans.
FF & E Design, Procurement Management & Supply – The Interior Space also offer design, procurement management, FF & E supply & installation under the one banner. From concept to project completion this turnkey service for hotel, resort & development clients alike results in each project evolving with its’ own unique stamp & sophistication. With an established global supplier network and a manufacturing arm of four large scale factories located in China and Indonesia the service includes engineering support, in-house QC, global shipping & more. Ros believes their procurement service is unique as it is run by interior designers, rather than traditional procurement managers, who enjoy bringing not only their own designs into fruition but working with developers and other design teams to prepare their project properties for operations.
Ros attributes their international success to The Interior Space's innate ability to CONNECT (client, vision, space & environment), COMMUNICATE (visual imagery, specifications & detailed plans) & CREATE using the design process to enhance the life of those that experience their interiors. Please reach out to Ros to learn more about their services or if you wish to discuss design or procurement management collaboration opportunities.

Selong Selo, Aura Clubhouse
Selong Selo Resort and Luxury Residences is a multi-award-winning residential villa community overlooking the picturesque Selong Belanak Bay, South Lombok. The building, perched at the highest point of property was literally a concrete shell, a structure consisting of floor, square plain support columns & flat ceiling. The Interior Space was responsible to develop the interior design, FF & E procurement and styling. All the furniture, art, accessories and lighting are bespoke designs which have been designed &/or developed in conjunction with her talented team of craftsmen & artisans. The building’s ornamentation (columns, ceiling detail etc) had to be created and developed on site due to its remote location.

Villa Maleo, Selong Selo
The Interior Space was commissioned by their European based client to design his luxury Indonesia holiday home set high on the cliff face of Lombok. Teaming with Hong Kong Architect, Mitch Squires, Ros and her team completed the interior design, FF & E procurement & styling. Contemporary Indonesian was the preferred design style. The interior, spanning over three levels, had to have spaces that captured the views and connected with nature. It was also a requirement to ensure that Indonesian local materials and traditional methods of construction that were sympathetic to the culture were interwoven into the fabric of the design for both the architecture and interior design. The client preferred a modern take on typical Indonesian style and was thrilled with the final result.

Beach House
Palm Beach Perfection, the owners love of the ocean and nature took precedence in this project, with raw materiality and a simple background. Light and fresh in natural hues punched out with a dash of charcoal all playfully brought together with the bright fun palette favoured for artwork, fabrics and furniture upholsteries
The polished concrete flooring was selected to be used throughout for two reasons. The first to ensure a seamless transition between the rooms, adding a sense of spaciousness. The second was for practical reasons. The floors are hardy and easy care. Children can ride bikes in, pets can patter about and party spills of wine and food can just be easily washed away. The polish finish adds a sense of luxe and the exposed aggregate we selected adds a warmth that is very appealing and compliments the seaside landscape.

Contemporary Manor House
Our clients, a professional couple with teenage children, commissioned The Interior Space to transform their large waterfront property. Ros wanted to create a space that typified their very positive and fun personalities & the decision to create a Contemporary Manorhouse was borne.
The music room leading off the main entry replaced the more traditional formal living space. This room allows the family to chill out by the fire or jam together with the instruments which take pride of place. Colour was an important ingredient of the home, a love of life could be celebrated by the inclusion of a rich bright colour palette.
Toast the close of a day in a bar room that has the fun of a New York Jazz House. Leather sofas, rich marbles & gild all combining under the twinkle of specialty lighting and a concealed sound system.
